~North Somerset Council~'s planners and enforcement officers have exceeded the national average for dealing with small-scale planning applications. For the year ending 31 March 2006, the council dealt with 89% of applications within eight weeks, exceeding the national average by 3%. A total of 94% of household alterations and extension applications were dealt with in the same period.
