Council IT departments are helping authorities do more with less resources while transforming their ability to cope with prolonged austerity, local government IT experts Socitm have reported.
According to Socitm's benchmarking survey of activities during 2011, council IT managers have kept user satisfaction rates above target levels – despite increasing demands.
