Mott MacDonald has appointed Richard Shennan as group practice manager for its buildings business. Shennan will help develop and win business, assist with the quality of project delivery and customer service and promote collaboration across the whole of the consultancy.

He was previously managing director of Fulcrum Consulting, which joined the Mott MacDonald Group in 2009. Recognised internationally as a leading expert on underground energy storage and low-energy design innovation, he has worked on major projects such as the Darwin Centre Phase 2 at London's Natural History Museum and the awardwinning Jubilee Library in Brighton.
