North Somerset Council's leader has warned Prime Minister Keir Starmer there is a ‘high probability' of the authority issuing a section 114 notice this year.
In a letter to Starmer, Mike Bell said there was a risk of the council failing to meet its statutory duties, as well as ‘widespread' insolvency across the sector.
