Westminster’s Labour councillors have demanded an urgent meeting of the council’s scrutiny commission to review the circumstances which led a local child to starve to death while living in temporary accommodation.

The child's mother also died, in unrelated circumstances, and a case review by Westminster's independent local safeguarding's board found they had been dependent on charity handouts.
