Major developers have been invited to join a new housing procurement panel to be set up by the Greater London Authority (GLA) to accelerate the sale and development of its public sector land and property holdings.

The new London Development Panel will replace the current Homes and Communities Agency's ‘Delivery partner panel' from 2013, and will be managed by the GLA with the support of Transport for London, which will act as the GLA's procurement agent. Up to £5bn of mixed-use development is expected to be procured through the panel.
