New figures show in its first five months, the Government's Work Programme helped job-seekers find employment.

In its first five months, the Government's Work Programme placed 332,000 job-seekers with organisations paid to help them find work, new figures show.

The Department for Work and Pensions released data on 21 February, revealing that 370,000 people were referred to the programme by Jobcentre Plus centres in the five months after it was launched in June 2011.
