WORKFORCE

Programme Director at NESTA

London. Putting innovation at the heart of local government.

Nesta is an independent charity with a mission to help people and organisations bring great ideas to life. We are at the heart of a growing movement to build the ambition and capability for innovation in local authorities and other public services, identifying radical new ways of meeting social needs at lower cost.

We now need to recruit an experienced Programme Director to support the innovators, helping them bring their ideas to life, and in doing so generate sources of inspiration, practical interventions, learning and practical tools that can be applied more widely. Working closely with our Chief Executive and partners from across the public and social innovation fields, you will lead the design and delivery of new and existing programmes, and work with the LGA and other partners to support six councils to put their ideas into practice.

With a background of working with local government to deliver services, you have already achieved a well-deserved reputation for innovation that achieves real change. You could be from children's services, environment, adult social care or communities - but you now need a new challenge and want to use your credibility, drive and determination to work across different disciplines to support innovation.
