London boroughs have sought public involvement and suggestions to deal with the aftermath of widespread violence and looting.

Croydon LBC and Lewisham LBC are encouraging donations of clothes, food, toiletries, toys and books for people displaced or made homeless by the disturbances. Residents across London were asked to volunteer in support of local projects and groups, and in Croydon, people were urged to identify suitable initiatives.
