An interesting debate in the Guardian (not a usual read) looking at the enormous quantity of information & data held across government - from medical records, to pensions, crime & population stats. Hosted by the Guardian & commisioned by Seven Plus, the event was paid for by Deloitte & involved people from across government, including one Joe Simpson from the LGA. The Improvement Board at the LGA is looking at the whole issue of data & I think that there is some value in the Board taking into account some of the findings of this debate.
