Green-fingered youngsters were given hints and tips on gardening in the hot weather at an event run by Southwark LBC. The children helped rejuvenate Dulwich Park’s dry garden, and were taught about drought-resistant plants, soil types and positioning at the event. ‘With longer, hotter summers and water shortages, this event was a great way to showcase what can be done to keep gardens growing through a drought,’ said Southwark’s executive member for environment and transport, Cllr Lisa Rajan.
