Havering LBC has dismissed a parliamentary push for the London borough to split from the capital and join Essex as part of local government reorganisation.

A Parliamentary push for Havering LBC to split from the capital and join Essex as part of local government reorganisation has been dismissed.

It comes after Romford Conservative MP Andrew Rosindell launched a campaign for Havering to be reincorporated into Essex, where the county's councils remain on the fast track towards reorganisation and devolution.
