The Government is pushing on with a flurry of policy reforms, but leader of the sector’s place directors Angela Jones says she remains positive, despite concerns over securing sustainable core budgets

Place directors are grappling with a complex set of challenges, including policy reforms like devolution and local government reorganisation, against a backdrop of financial pressures.

But taking what she calls a ‘glass half full' approach, the new president of the Association of Directors of Environment, Economy, Planning and Transport (ADEPT) Angela Jones remains refreshingly undaunted.
