Ancient Egypt came to life for pupils at a Knowsley MBC primary school last week. The council's Prescot museum, which is currently hosting The Land of the Pharoahs exhibition, laid on an Egyptian ‘priestess' to tell year four pupils from St Leo's and Southmead Primary School about life by the banks of the River Nile thousands of years ago. The council-backed exhibition, which features objects from ancient Egypt, runs until 23 April.
