Changes are afoot at Wigan MBC, where a radical internal review has led to a major ‘back room' reorganisation. The council is creating a new Department of Business Support Services, bringing together finance, IT, legal and property services, and encompassing all administrative, democratic, finance and personnel services previously under the chief executive's department.
