Rallying around risk prevention

A explosion in Worksop triggered a huge response that proved how effectively the sector is able to work together and alongside other teams to support local residents, says David Arminger.

John Street in Worksop is, in many ways, a typical terraced street of the sort that can be found across Britain. However, today, there is a space where there were previously three homes.

At around 8pm on 12 April 2025, an explosion tore apart 26 John Street and severely damaged the adjacent properties.
