Local government minister, John Healey, has announced councils will be awarded on a ‘wider set of rateable value change codes' in year three of the LABGI scheme. This follows legal challenges over the scheme. A written statement confirms the Government's ‘determination to try to achieve the policy aim of providing incentives to encourage business growth'. He also confirmed the total amount available for the third round of the local area agreement reward grant would be at least £340m.
