An Aberdeen city councillor has hit out at the level of funding given to the local authority after officials were warned to curb their spending. The convener of the finance monitoring commitee, Neil Fletcher, said he felt Aberdeen City Council was getting a raw deal in the light of a report which called on officers to keep spending down. ‘Everything should be done to reduce expenditure levels in the current year while there remains an opportunity,' the report said.
