Recession claims 2.7 million jobs

A new study claims almost 2.7 million people have been made redundant in the past four years.

Almost 2.7 million people have been made redundant in the past four years, equivalent to one in 10 employees at the start of the recession, a new study claims.

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) report, released on 14 March, states that public administration, education and health account for 11% of the redundancies.
