GatenbySanderson, executive recruitment specialist within the public sector, has announced a cut in its staff. The firm announced that, ‘as a result of the uncertain UK economic outlook and its likely impact on public sector spend, headcount within the consultancy is being reduced.' This affects a total of seven positions, including business support, out of 80 in total. Graham Goodwin, managing partner, commented: ‘Our performance this year has been good, with sales to date at 9% above last year. However, we cannot ignore the more difficult trading conditions that we anticipate ahead.' He added: ‘We have acted quickly to minimise the impact on our business, to work as effectively as possible for our clients and refocus our expertise into those sectors that we feel will continue to grow.'
