Birmingham City Council has finalised a collective agreement with trade unions on future staff redundancies designed to ensure fairness and consistency across all council departments.

Birmingham City Council has finalised a collective agreement with trade unions on future staff redundancies designed to ensure fairness and consistency across all council departments.

The council has a voluntary redundancy programme designed to achieve £32.5m in savings over two years. Cllr Alan Rudge, cabinet member for equalities and human resources, said: ‘It is a vital part of our strategic plan to increase productivity whilst reducing budgets.'
