Reeves' review needs to spread the sunshine

Just two weeks out from the Spending Review, chancellor Rachel Reeves will have her work cut out to create the right conditions for the UK economy to thrive, writes Heather Jameson.

The sun always shines in local government. Well, mostly.

There was a great deal of sunshine at UKREiiF in Leeds last week, where the great and the good of the property industry and large swaths of local government assembled to do development deals. A far cry from the torrential rain of last year that culminated in the-then Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, calling a General Election. It has been a tumultuous year since – and the pace of change shows no signs of abating.
