Durham CC's adaptation to future challenges could be delayed due to the Reform UK leadership beginning from a ‘standing start', a corporate peer challenge has concluded.

The Local Government Association (LGA) review said that since Reform took over the running of the local authority in May the political leadership had ‘settled well into its role, establishing clear portfolios and a refreshed set of corporate priorities, with good public engagement'.
