Essex CC's Reform UK leader has written to housing secretary Steve Reed indicating the council intends to launch a legal challenge to local government reorganisation (LGR) for the county.
Cllr Peter Harris, whose party swept to power at the authority in last week's local elections, told Reed his administration was ‘unequivocally opposed to the principle' of unitarisation being pursued by the Government.
