Doncaster City Council is to borrow £57m to help reopen its airport after Reform UK councillors backed down from a direct confrontation with its leadership.

At an extraordinary council meeting this morning, a Reform motion calling for last year's decision to take out the loan to be rescinded was amended at the last minute.
