Reform UK's Suella Braverman has said councils have a critical role in developing regionally specific skills training, while lauding an initiative developed by Labour Prime Minister in waiting Andy Burnham.

The party's education spokesperson told delegates at the Local Government Association's annual conference in Bournemouth that a Reform government would ‘unleash a skills revolution with education pathways and regional dedicated qualifications at their heart'.
