The new fire and rehire regime: what you need to know

Before coming to power, Labour committed to ending ‘fire and rehire' and promised to reform the law to provide effective remedies against abuse.  These commitments have been written into the Employment Rights Bill (the Bill) and are due to come into effect in October 2026.
