Housing associations have a vital role to play in the Government's place-shaping agenda, according to a new report from the Young Foundation. The report, Good neighbours: housing associations' role in neighbourhood governance, called for associations to be involved at a strategic level. It also appealed for local authorities to deliver more neighbourhood management initiatives and help broker community charters. Councils should also review how housing associations were involved with Local Strategic Partnerships, according to the report.
