Just one in six Britons rate the national economic situation as ‘good', according to new research from Ipsos Global. Britain is now level with the US in the economic confidence stakes, with 15% of Americans describing their economy as good. Saudi Arabia topped the poll with an 89% confidence vote.
‘Although, it is encouraging to see a rise in Britons describing the economy as good, it remains to be seen whether this is a one-off or the beginning of a trend,' said Ipsos MORI managing director, Milorad Ajder.
