Review borders on historic change

The first local authority boundary change for 20 years has been agreed by Parliament and comes into force on 1 April.

Following a review by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England, the border between Welwyn Hatfield BC and St Albans DC has been changed, bringing the formally-divided Franklin Close into St Albans.
