A borough council initiative to help small firms survive the recession has received national recognition. The Federation of Small Businesses has presented Brentwood BC with a certificate in recognition for the support it gives to small firms. Deputy leader, Cllr Jean McGinley, said, ‘It is real honour for the council to be recognised in this way. Small businesses are the life blood of every community.'
