'Rip off' agents warned as Labour unveil housing policy

Shadow communities secretary, Hilary Benn, this week called for a clampdown on ‘unscrupulous' and ‘rip off' letting agents – and for wider reforms to the private rented sector.

As part of a Labour Party policy review on private rented housing, unveiled on 18 July, Mr Benn proposed a system of tough regulation for letting agents.
