Rising community tensions say council chiefs

A new survey of senior council officers has found nearly three quarters (74%) feel community tensions have risen in the past 12 months.

A new survey of senior council officers has found nearly three quarters (74%) feel community tensions have risen in the past 12 months.

The research by Starfish Search also found 77% of council chiefs, executive directors and directors believe political rhetoric at the national level is making it harder for local authorities to manage cohesion locally.
