Newcastle City Council chief executive, Pat Ritchie, has been invited to be the local government representative on the board of the new National Leadership Centre (NLC).

Ms Ritchie will help shape the strategic direction of the NLC, which has been established after the Public Services Leadership Taskforce concluded that a centre should be created to support the leaders of public services in England.
