Rivals see red over green bank's Scottish location

The decision to site the headquarters of the Green Investment Bank in Edinburgh causes anger from some of the English localities whose bids failed.

The decision to site the headquarters of the Green Investment Bank (GIB) in Edinburgh has provoked anger from some of the 29 English localities whose bids failed.

On 8 March, business Secretary Vince Cable announced the Scottish capital would become the GIB's corporate HQ, and that the city would also run its asset management and administrative functions – while the transaction team would be based in London.
