Wentworth Brewery chief executive, Stephen Beech, and master brewer, Gary Sheriff, are putting the finishing touches to an ale celebrating Rotherham MBC’s £2bn renaissance project. Initially, 1,000 bottles of the aptly-named Renaissance Ale are being brewed for guests at a VIP event in All Saints’ Square next month, which is part of the Rotherham Arts Festival. ‘At this stage, we have no idea how popular it will be. If demand is high, we’ll have to up our order,’ said town centre manager, Julie Roberts. ‘It would be great to see Renaissance Ale in pubs across the UK.’
