Royal approval for apprentices

The Earl of Wessex, Prince Edward, visited the headquarters of contractor, Amey,to celebrate the success of its Academy.

The Earl of Wessex, Prince Edward, visited the headquarters of contractor, Amey, last week to celebrate the success of the firm's Apprenticeship Academy and its partnership with the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme.

As part of his visit, Prince Edward attended a workshop aimed at tackling youth unemployment. Guests included the former director general of the CBI and Labour government trade minister, Lord Digby Jones, and representatives from Oxfordshire CC.
