The Prince of Wales and communities secretary Eric Pickles this week visited the Jaguar Land Rover plant in Halewood, Liverpool, to launch Industrial Cadets – a scheme which aims to give young people awareness of career opportunities in local industry before they take their GCSE exams.
Mr Pickles said: ‘The industrial and engineering sector is crucial to the economy so it's fantastic that the Industrial Cadets programme can inspire the engineers, manufacturers and industrial workers of the future.'
