Salt, the humble mineral we pour over our food, has been banned by Stockport MBC.

Salt – no, not the box offi ce flop starring Angelina Jolie, but the actual mineral we pour over our food – has been banned in Stockport.

The council has decided to adopt an ‘out of sight, out of mind' policy, where salt will no longer be provided on counters or tables in food outlets. So now, if you fancy taking a step closer to a heart attack, you will have to ask for it. And yes, the scheme is called Ask.
