Rutland CC's leader has pledged to consider alternative reorganisation plans after surviving a no confidence vote over her support for a three unitary authority model.

At a meeting of the no overall control East Midlands council last week, a motion brought by the Conservative group to oust Lib Dem leader Gale Waller was defeated 14 to eight, with two councillors abstaining.
