Councils in Wales could save more than £30m a year after a deal struck by both ministers in Cardiff and Whitehall.

Under the agreement, 11 Welsh councils will exit the Housing Revenue Account Subsidy system. That will mean they will no longer have to pay around £73m a year to the Treasury from income from rents.
