Scheme lets residents donate council savings

A scheme unveiled by the local authority allows residents of Windsor and Maidenhead to donate savings from four years of council tax cuts.

Residents of Windsor and Maidenhead RBC can donate savings from four years of council tax cuts towards local services, under a scheme unveiled by the local authority this week.

The councils' 3% council tax cut for 2013/14 will save residents around £30 on a Band D property and is the fourth consecutive year of council tax cuts in the borough, which they claim will result in £241 of cumulative savings.
