School planning move could 'hit education' body warns

Removal of planning consent for new schools could have serious implications on education, London Councils has warned.

Responding to the Department for Communities and Local Government's (CLG) Planning for Schools development consultation, London Councils claimed the Government's proposals would prevent local authorities regulating whether new schools were suitable for use.
