Councils in Scotland could be given more powers to force the sale of empty homes, the country's ministers indicated this week.
Housing minister, Keith Brown, revealed that Holyrood was in talks with Shelter Scotland to develop proposals to tackle the 25,000 long-term empty homes throughout the country.
