The Scottish Council for Voluntary Council (SCVO) has welcomed the announcement of £5.4m from the Scottish Government to help people facing the brunt of UK benefit cuts.

‘The new funding announced today will provide a much-needed lifeline to frontline advice and support providers, who are seeing unprecedented demand for services as a result of Westminster's welfare cuts,' said SCVO chief executive, Martin Sime.
