Scotland's councils have started an Internet quest for superheroes. COSLA, the umbrella organisation for Scottish local authorities, has launched a website with job opportunities from 32 of the nation's councils. www.myjobscotland.gov.uk aims to persuade job-seekers that a career in local government is the right move. It has been launched with an advertising campaign drawing attention to the 30,000 vacancies a year in the public sector, and focuses on the real-life ‘superheroes' who serve the community every day.
