Scottish care kids failing to attend school

An increasing proportion of children in local authority care in Scotland are failing to attend school.

An increasing proportion of children in local authority care in Scotland are failing to attend school.

New Scottish government figures show the attendance rate for looked after children fell from 84.4% in 2022-23 to 83.7% in 2023-24, at the same time as attendance increased slightly among other pupils, from 90.2% to 90.3%.
