Government policy-makers are seeking the views of the local government sector on whether the public should have a legal right to choice in public services.

As part of the ‘open public services' initiative – launched last July – the Cabinet Office is seeking submissions on whether it would be necessary, or appropriate, to pass laws defining exactly what public services citizens are entitled to.
