Local government is prepared for the cuts, according to chairman of the Local Government Association, Baroness Margaret Eaton, but 100,000 jobs are set to be lost.
Speaking at the LGA's post-CSR conference, Baroness Eaton said: ‘Tough decisions will have to be taken, and I know people are worried about what it will mean for them.'
