Peer review will form a key part of the new inspection regime, says Audit Commission chief executive, Steve Bundred. Writing in The MJ this week, Mr Bundred says the new comprehensive area assessment will include ‘challenged self-assessment', and adds: ‘Improvement support is clearly more likely to be effective when it is commissioned by the bodies in need of it.'
